It is possible to bring a British vehicle to Spain, but whether it makes financial and practical sense is another question.

For some people, bringing a much-loved or valuable vehicle is worthwhile. For others, selling in the UK and buying a Spanish-registered vehicle once they arrive is considerably simpler.

For families, we recommend researching schools alongside locations rather than finding the perfect house first and trying to make everything else fit around it afterwards.
A beautiful villa is considerably less beautiful if the school run makes everybody miserable.
Working remotely or running a business from Spain
For many people, moving to Spain no longer means retiring.
Remote working has changed what relocation can look like, and plenty of our clients need good internet more urgently than they need a swimming pool.
If you intend to work from Spain, obtain appropriate advice about residency, taxation and employment or business arrangements.
Then think about the practical side.
Internet availability, workspace, access to airports and whether you genuinely want to work from a desk in the spare bedroom for the next five years all deserve consideration.
What does it really cost to live in Spain?
Spain is often described as cheaper than the UK, but sweeping comparisons aren't particularly useful.
Your actual cost of living will depend on where and how you live.
Property costs, utilities, community fees, insurance, transport, schooling, healthcare and taxation can all form part of the equation.
A village house where you walk everywhere creates a very different monthly budget from a large villa with a pool, extensive gardens and two cars.
Rather than asking simply, "Is Spain cheaper?", we think the better question is:
"What will the life I want in Spain actually cost me?"
Don't just choose a property. Choose a life.
This is the part of relocation that property portals cannot do for you.
A listing can tell you the number of bedrooms, the size of the plot and whether there is a swimming pool.
It cannot tell you whether you'll enjoy walking into that village every morning.
Whether you'll find your people there.
Whether you'll still love the location in January.
